Alya has been riding horses for over 20 years, beginning her dressage riding career at eight. She has had extensive dressage training throughout the years and feels that through her training, she has a vast knowledge of how sport horses use their bodies. Alya has previously worked for highly accomplished Dressage trainers to further her education in the sport. She is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist and has competed her Lusitano gelding through Intermidere I. Alya has also dabbled in jumping. She has three horses that she loves dearly, her Lusitano, Bolero, her Morgan mare, Darla, and her Westphalian/PRE yearling filly, Marvel.

Alya decided to step back from working in Dressage professionally to continue her college education. She has a BS in Communications and minored in Media Analysis from Arizona State University. While finishing school, she worked at her dad's medical office. After completing her college education, Alya started working in the equestrian industry again. Alya began apprenticing for Stacy Hockel of Equine Inspired Touch in January 2023. Since beginning her apprenticeship with Stacy, Alya has continued her education in equine bodywork, and reiki. She has also become a practitioner of Equine Postural Reset through her apprenticeship with Stacy. Alya has also learned how to correctly evaluate English saddles' fit through her training with Stacy. Alya believes that it is essential to be able to assess the fit of a saddle as a bodyworker so she can help the horse to the best of her ability.

Alya is also a traveling Certified Reiki Master Practitioner. Reiki has aided in her healing from sports injuries and has tremendously helped her with anxiety. Through her struggles, she built a practice to assist others on their journey to wellness. Alya values helping her clients overcome mental, physical, and emotional challenges to feel their best!
